For weddings, Michelle & Shane work together to create beautiful, artistic portraits with a natural feel & capture the wonderful moments of your wedding day. They are both full-time photographers with two beautiful daughters, Ayla & Avelyn, and understand the importance and value of family.
Michelle says:
“Running my own photography studio has been my dream for as long as I can remember. I worked hard to get here. I got my first camera when I was ten and I couldn’t put it down. I went to the University of Louisville for photography because I wanted to learn all that I could and be the best that I could be. I continued to study photojournalism with mentors and attended workshops & seminars to perfect my craft. Over 200 weddings later, I look forward to each one as a creative challenge, where I get to share in a beautiful experience, and reward my clients with wonderful images that I know their families will cherish and enjoy.”
Shane says:
“This is the best job that I’ve ever had and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love taking pictures and I love working with those images in photoshop. It’s exciting to go out on a shoot, be creative , and have fun with clients. Then, no matter how late it is, at home or the studio, I run a few images through Photoshop, just to see what I can tweak. I like to take an image and polish it so that it becomes something amazing. That’s the difference between digital and film. There is another level beyond the capture and I love exporing to find what that is. And shooting weddings is humbling in a way that is difficult to describe. Our daughter, Ayla, changed my perspective on so many things, and I can better imagine what a father must feel on his daughter’s wedding day. I can really see the importance of what I do. A photograph can capture emotion and tell the story of someone’s life in such a beautiful way.”
We feel very fortunate to have two beautiful daughters. Ayla is seven years old and loves to draw, paint, and play with animal toys. She says she wants to be an animal rescuer or vet when she grows up. Avelyn is two years old, loves to play with her baby dolls and spends a lot of time following her older sister around.
Shane also says, “I am looking forward to the day no one in our family poops their pants.” That’s a reasonable goal.
